This web site is a combination of two of my interests- old time radios and metalworking. When I was a teenager, I ordered
several books from Elmer Ousterhoudt on making crystal radios, but never built any to his plans. 20 years later, I decided
to try again, and this time, using a metal lathe, I was able to reproduce all the parts that were already unavailable in my
youth, including the crystal holder shown here.
The crystal holder comes as shown at right, with an upright arm, adjustment arm with a piece of cat's whisker, and holder
cup. You would supply the base or radio to mount it to and the mounted crystal.
I can accept Paypal or check. Drop me an email so we can discuss your needs.
In the future, if there is interest, I will be offering brass switch contacts and other parts for crystal radios that
are hard to get from other sources.
